Pros

Great benefits. Remote first (though not all are always remote). If you are a regular worker-bee who just wants a good job for good pay and benefits, then this is the place for you.

Cons

If you are an extra-dedicated worker-bee, who loves what you do, this place will nearly kill you. You will exchange your sense of peace for the benefits given. There is more to life than money. As with many other organizations, Senior Leadership continues to restart things every few years, resulting in almost no stability. Leadership does not have a clue who does the work, what the work is, or how it should be done. They stand and issue edicts and the dedicated, loyal, hardworking middle and lower people suffer for it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences with us. At APS, we deeply value employee feedback, which aligns with our Core Values of Education and Integrity. We're heartened to hear that you've found value in our benefits package, and our commitment to being a remote-first organization. Your insights into the challenges you've highlighted are important to us. We encourage you to connect with our Human Resources team so that we can effectively address these concerns. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance for our employees is a priority, and your dedication is highly valued. We've also taken note of your observations regarding recent changes senior leadership has implemented and their impacts. Our aim is to bring more stability to our strategies and ensure alignment between leadership decisions and their effects on our employees. Your feedback regarding communication opportunities is well-received. We're exploring avenues to foster open dialogue between management and employees, such as regular check-ins, focus group discussions, and a newly launched platform for performance and goal reviews. We are actively establishing feedback loops during our Action & Inspiration sessions. These sessions allow staff to elaborate on survey results and engage in the ideation process for selecting impactful actions to improve both organizational and departmental culture. Your suggestion of in-depth conversations over anonymous surveys resonates with us as well. Your management advice holds immense value, and we're dedicated to ongoing improvements in this area. We understand the importance of embodying our Core Values in our daily operations. Once again, we extend our gratitude for your feedback. Your input is vital as we continue to evolve and enhance our organization. We encourage you to contact Human Resources to contribute your insights further as we work collaboratively to shape a better future.
