Pros
Tremendous mission and a great opportunity to work with people who are inspired by helping others.Relatively family friendly, except during disasters.
Cons
Sadly, they've lost their way. Senior management has clearly circled the wagons. Instead of seeing the need for transparency, they're becoming more and more evasive. After the last 30% staff reduction, some of the most talented people there quit and found other jobs. There's no room for growth, unless you're one of the last ones standing in your department. Nasty, bad behavior (including bullying and excessive spending) exists in certain departments and is apparently not only tolerated but encouraged. The meaner you are, the farther you go--sad, considering the mission.
