Terrible org with lots of potential - Manager Americares Employee Review

Great mission, work life balance and benefits. Management is very supportive and the people are hard working and pleasant.

They are very thoughtful, but some improvements can be made in being more agile to making positive changes.

Americares is a genuinely mission-driven organization where you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working alongside some incredibly talented and passionate colleagues. The people are what make this organization special, there is deep technical expertise, a collaborative culture, and a shared commitment to improving health for communities affected by poverty and disaster. I've had opportunities to grow professionally, lead strategic initiatives around quality, impact and learning and work across a diverse global portfolio. The organization also offers flexibility through remote and hybrid working, which has been invaluable in supporting work-life balance while collaborating with colleagues around the world. One of the things I value most is that Americares is a highly reflective organization. It doesn't pretend to have all the answers; instead, it continually learns, adapts, and looks for ways to improve. If you're someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with exceptional people, and contributing to meaningful change, it's a very rewarding place to build a career.
