Pros

Training is a plus. They train you but it’s very robotic and demands a lot of misleading information that you think is ok at first but after you get on the phones you realize is all about misleading clients. We don’t help families like we are taught in training even though they want us to believe we do. Families are upset all the time and crying to us about their debt.

Cons

I really believed I was helping families and that was something I really wanted to be proud of. After working here for a few months I realized I am only able to make money on families that are in the hardest economic times of their life. I didn’t feel right making money when families were in a financial crisis . I knew the program I was putting them in was one they couldn’t make payments on but it was the only was I was able to make money. After months of this and trying to believe, I am looking for another job

Pros

Low barrier to entry, if you can talk to people, you can do this job. You'll get a ton of reps with real clients in real financial situations, and the commission upside is legitimate. Strong months can clear $20K+

Cons

The hours are long and the emotional weight is constant, your clients are in crisis by definition, so you're absorbing that stress daily. Management just adds to that stress. The fees are steep, and it's on you to get clients to accept them. The hard truth is it's usually their only viable option, but that doesn't make the conversation easy.
