Pros
You can make money and the culture is somewhat good
Cons
Prepare for constant rejection, (they quote about 90%) and in today’s world situations with stimulus and other govt handouts there is no reason for people to call in. What that means for you... constant outbound calls getting pounded with No’s over and over because there is no “need” to call in. This is a glorified call center job. Make no mistake. The income the HR people say you can/will make is absolute baloney... maybe reserved for the TOP of the TOP people on the floor. In reality, most people are working minimum wage everyday in a soul sucking call center job, trying to manipulate people in financial distress to go with the Americor plan. Don’t let the sales training fool you. They make it seem like everything’s dandy and then when you’re on the phones you’ll get a very quick reality check. Be prepared to be a robot, with certain metrics like talk time and outbound calls to make a day. Also, hope you’re great at reading scripts VREBATIM. This is what you’re signing up for. You can make money here, absolutely. However the system is built so the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I HOPE YOURE GOOD if you join here. If not, you get less leads and more micromanagement. Let’s hope you’re good. The reviews here talk a lot about long hours and good culture. That’s def true. The culture is pretty decent, I must say. But like I said you better be good. And yea, be prepared for 12 hour days on a consistent basis. All I’m saying is let’s hope you’re good and willing to work A LOT to be successful here. Even with persistent effort however, I’m afraid there’s tons of things outside of your control that will affect your performance and let’s just say they’re not very “forgiving”. You WILL be let go. Proceed with Caution.
