Pros

We have a fantastic employee environment, the people I have worked with at Americor are amazing. We are constantly working to make the job easier and help each other out when possible. Interactions are relaxed but professional. Fully remote work is a huge plus.

Cons

The pay is simply not feasible for long term employment, and work from home doesn't offset costs enough to justify it. This position is supposed to be intermediate but I am paid far below the national average income despite having worked for the company for 4 years, and 3 in my current role. There isn't much room for growth beyond my current position outside of going into leadership. Outside of gaining experience, there is not much of a reason to stay at Amercior anymore unless I can get certified for a position in a completely different department within the company at this point, as I cannot afford to live on my current income anymore. Great work environment, but at the end of a day, a job needs to cover the bills and this one just doesn't.

Pros

Low barrier to entry, if you can talk to people, you can do this job. You'll get a ton of reps with real clients in real financial situations, and the commission upside is legitimate. Strong months can clear $20K+

Cons

The hours are long and the emotional weight is constant, your clients are in crisis by definition, so you're absorbing that stress daily. Management just adds to that stress. The fees are steep, and it's on you to get clients to accept them. The hard truth is it's usually their only viable option, but that doesn't make the conversation easy.
