Pros

- Perks and packages were great - Most people are nice and helpful - Although not pioneers in tools and tech, they do try to keep up with the trendsetters in healthcare(e.g J&J)

Cons

- Due to the Tampa project, a lot of dissatisfaction amongst the good Amgen employees, what other reviews mentioned are definitely true. A lot of talent has been lost from 2015-2017, the ones that remain either cannot find something better or are simply stuck. Especially the quality of lower and middle management has been hit by this. - Too many lay offs and reorgs, so many changes you might think upper management is not sure of what they want - Amgen has been very succesfull with various blockbusters in the past but did not maintain a strong pipeline, hence the current “chaos” and cost cutting. They should have anticipated earlier.

Pros

Excellent compensation, benefits, and career development opportunities. Strong investment in innovation, patient-focused mission, and world-class manufacturing capabilities. The New Albany site offers exposure to complex biologics operations, large-scale capital projects, and opportunities to work alongside talented and dedicated professionals committed to delivering medicines to patients.

Cons

The culture and leadership experience became increasingly inconsistent during the last year. Decision-making often lacked transparency, priorities shifted frequently, and employee feedback did not always appear to be valued. The people-centered culture that attracted many long-tenured employees seemed to drift, resulting in reduced trust, lower engagement, and increased organizational uncertainty.
