Business Outlook
Pros
The company has lost its focus on internal discovery of new therapeutics; plan to in license or acquire more than 50% of future marketed therapies. Sadly, the halcyon days of George Rathman and Gordon Binder are long gone.
Cons
Too many layers of management slows down key decision making. Neuroscience Senior management lack appropriate scientific depth and expertise. Jealously guard their access to key opportunities. Senior Managers unwilling to relinquish control of scope and direction of new target discovery work to appropriate scientific leaders to the detriment of the company.
