Pros

Change is constant at AmWINS. positions are eliminated frequently. They try to reassign you to another position versus laying you off, which is fantastic. AmWINS Group prefers to help their employees keep a job. The corporate office truly tries to live by the "A better way" philosophy. AmWINS Group is a great place to work.

Cons

There are many cons that I will not go into, but the main issue is communication from administrative management.

Communication is a key tenet of the company. We collaborate, share ideas and communicate all in the interest of being the best at what we do. We value communication so highly that more than half of the questions on our annual employee survey solicit feedback on how well we are communicating across the firm – both on a local and corporate level. If you don’t think we are doing a good job within Access of sharing information, please let us know. Whether it’s through the survey that is currently being conducted, or via your Human Resources Business Partner, we want to know how we can do a better job getting you the information you need.

Pros

Reputable company overall. Great people and team members.

Cons

Working on the HR team often leaves employees feeling invisible, undervalued, and frustrated by leadership that is disconnected from the team’s day-to-day work. Management frequently lacks an understanding of employee workloads and challenges, resulting in unrealistic expectations and poor decision-making. Training and onboarding are inadequate, with many employees expected to perform at a high level without the proper guidance or support. Rather than being set up for success, employees are often left to figure things out on their own and are then held accountable for mistakes that could have been avoided with better training.
