Pros
Flexibility, friendly environment, and nice office.
Cons
No work-life balance, lower salaries compared to the market, no equal opportunities to grow in the company (everything is politics...many times positions are open and filled without anyone knowing), promotion of people that are not prepared for this step yet, lack of technical and soft skills from managers and team leaders (managers less experienced than direct reports). The company does not take into consideration people's previous professional experiences, and because of that, we are either underutilized or treated as juniors, regardless of how many years of experience we may have in the area. People with the same level of experience are paid differently (no rules defined for setting salary ranges per experience level). No clear rules are set for bonus schema (every year the calculation method changes and there are no rules to determine the top performer, which is given by the "wish" of the manager). No carrier path for data/tech employees. No sick days. No pay rise to compensate for the inflation. The company prefers to promote employees with less/no experience at all (FTLs and interns) than employees that have delivered good results across the years and with expertise in their area.
