Pros
Ansira has gone above & beyond my high expectations for what a great work environment should be. Coming from a small company with only 10 employees to a large corporation, I expected that life would become stressful. This isn’t the case at all. In fact, though I now manage much larger accounts than I did previously, because my department is super organized, we have a check & balance system in place, & work is evenly distributed among the employees, I find myself less overwhelmed than I was at my last company where I was the only person running all marketing programs. Additionally, though Ansira is a corporation, it’s a chill, quiet place to work. I usually get off by 5:30 pm every day and there are no micromanagers, I’ve even been able to work from home on occasion. I’ve heard that other departments might not be quite as awesome, but I LOVE the email department. This is one of the best places I’ve worked as far as work-life balance goes. Finally, my compensation is very fair. I have 10 years of experience & came in for a position that only required 1 year. Instead of being told I was overqualified or offering an insulting wage, Ansira offered a competitive salary & benefits package for my experience level. I look forward to a long career here!!
Cons
The only thing I can think of is that the snacks at Pub on Wednesday are a little repetitive. It’d also be great if there was more ways to get to know people, I only know the people that work on my immediate team. As lame as it sounds, some “getting to know you” games that encouraged people to interact & conversate rather than just grab food & go would be awesome. I’d love to make friends here since I’m new to Dallas & as a quiet person, it’s a bit of a challenge for me to just strike up random convos with people in passing. So some kind of interactive activity would be great.
