Pros

Unlimited PTO , fully remote, and above average benefits.

Cons

The company needs to find a way retain employees. The high level of turnover is not sustainable and a huge reason why the company is bleeding money. The company forces good employees to leave the company because they do not pay them well, do not treat them well, and do not appreciate their hard work. And the company can't fire bad employees because they are incredibly short staffed. Unfortunately, when the bad employees stay and the good employees leave, the bad employees are promoted and find positions in management. This system creates a vicious cycle that repeats itself ad-nauseum. Incompetent employees are promoted to management. They struggle to handle management roles, oversee staff, and are incapable of completing their daily tasks. Management burns out their good subordinate employees because management is reliant on the good employees to complete management's workload. The vicious cycle forces good employees to find better jobs and the company is stuck with incompetent employees. Further, it is not sustainable for employees to train new hires every four months - knowing full well that the employees they are training will leave before the calendar changes to the next season. So, we are left with new employees training new employees - what could possibly go wrong? In addition, there is no camaraderie among staff when employees are leaving every 4-6 months. The job can be isolating at times, most employees are in a state of overworked anxiety and unhappy with the way they are being treated. The level of turnover at higher levels of management is also concerning, There is a new CEO every two years and the company is losing a lot of money. Employee morale is at an all time low as it feels like the company is shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic. Also, the lack of diversity in hiring and staff is a huge concern for minority employees. The issue was raised a number of times by employees on my team and company wide, but Ansira has failed to hire more diverse candidates or promote diverse candidates to upper management. Minority employees spoke about how uncomfortable they feel that nearly all new hires are white and that management at the executive level only pays lip-service to bringing diversity to their team and throughout the company.

Pros

Great benefits and unlimited/flexible PTO

Cons

Workload expectations were unsustainable. To meet the basic requirements of my role, I regularly worked 50–70 hours per week. While the company offered flexible PTO, there was little meaningful coverage when employees were out, often resulting in even more work upon return. Frequent layoffs and ongoing staff reductions meant existing clients were repeatedly reassigned from departing employees to the remaining team members, further increasing workloads and making it harder to provide the level of service clients deserved. As responsibilities grew, client escalations became increasingly common, and support from leadership during those situations was inconsistent. The moment that best captured the disconnect between leadership and employee reality was a company training on having a "growth mindset" that included the message, "It's not bandwidth. It's mindset." For employees already struggling with excessive workloads and burnout, this felt dismissive of legitimate capacity concerns. The culture ultimately led to significant burnout, high stress, and declining morale. The company has talented employees and clients, but leadership would benefit from addressing workload management, staffing levels, accountability, and employee well-being before focusing on mindset and productivity initiatives.
