Pros

Aon's a vast organization that offers opportunities to learn about the various areas of the company. One can network with others around the world, which, again, makes it possible to learn a great deal.

Cons

The organization started a huge cultural shift - at least from where I was standing - from a sales-based to a marketing-based organization. The people on the ground who were to make this happen didn't have near enough support in making the shift. There were far too many questions left unanswered, and not enough support or communication about how we actually do the shift. Just "make it so" wasn't enough.

Pros

Great role to transition into the insurance industry. Many resources and opportunities to expand technical knowledge. Client visits are great if you like to travel. Lucky to have a manager who doesn’t micromanage. If you’re organized, driven, and good at communicating you’ll do great.

Cons

Can be stressful at times around busy renewal cycles. Travel often depending on industry and clients.
