Pros

A few really great employees that embodied great work ethic and values. Unfortunately most left in my first year at the company.

Cons

It became apparent to me that there were significant discrepancies between the professed values of success and integrity and the operational priorities within the company. Specifically, there seemed to be a pervasive emphasis on maximizing billable hours at the expense of delivering quality work and upholding professional integrity. This was evidenced by instances where management demonstrated incompetence and a lack of commitment to maintaining standards of excellence. Moreover, I personally witnessed instances where the manipulation of project metrics, such as the rewriting of story points, was employed to create a false impression of productivity and accomplishment. Such practices not only undermined the credibility of our work but also eroded trust within the team and with clients. Furthermore, I must express concern over the hostile reception I encountered when seeking additional responsibilities or opportunities for professional growth. This attitude contradicted the collaborative spirit essential for fostering a conducive work environment and inhibited individual and collective progress. In light of these concerns, I believe it is imperative for Apexon's leadership to reevaluate its organizational priorities and ensure alignment with principles of integrity, professionalism, and excellence. Addressing these issues promptly would not only safeguard the reputation and success of the company but also enhance morale and productivity among employees.

There are opportunities to work with talented teams across data, AI/ML, cloud, and digital engineering projects. Leadership encourages innovation and creativity, and employees are often given ownership over impactful client-facing work. Fast-paced environment with room to learn new skills and contribute to high-visibility initiatives.

Cons

Like many consulting organizations, priorities and timelines can shift quickly depending on client needs. Processes and communication between teams can occasionally be improved, especially during fast-moving projects. Workloads may fluctuate during major delivery periods. Bonus opportunities are available, but they are generally more accessible at higher organizational levels, which can feel limiting for some employees earlier in their career progression.
