Pros

You never feel like a cog in the machine as a consultant. While people's experiences can differ, my and most of my coworkers' experience has been fulfilling: you have an active role in a team, interact with client regularly, develop features with quick turnaround time, and develop many cross functional skills. Coworkers are great too! Fun work culture.

Cons

Company is focused on growing fast, which can be good, but that frequently leaves consultants in a tough position when sales overpromise , the client is difficult, and products are built to fulfill a sales need rather client needs. Since consultants work on small teams, this effect can be more readily felt. As well, the promotional ladder after the associate consultant to consultant level can be vague and unfair with not much salary growth.
