Pros

1. Great benefits 2. Very bright employees 3. Work is diverse and interesting 4. Hours are flexible and telecommuting is an option in some roles

Cons

1. Difficult to get promoted 2. Merritt increases can be small so salary compression is a risk for those who stay with the company 3. Environment is very political (as are most companies) 4. Not much work life balance 5. Everyone works very hard but no one seems to be enjoying it 6. Work which was outsourced to India and China is being pushed back to experts in Santa Clara due to the complexity, which is overloading some of their best people.

Pros

Strong place to start your career. If you do the Fusion Program you will learn a lot. Good training and benefits. Amazing Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Coworkers are smart and grounded people.

Cons

Stingy with salary, raises, and promotions. The engineer roles are broken up into Jr and Senior so the title progression goes Engineer I, I Sr, II, II Sr, etc which slows career progression and pay. Only the CA office gets extra pay due to the expense of living there, even if the MA office is expensive.
