Pros

The pay I negotiated. They think bringing in fresh fruit improves morale.

Cons

The most dysfunctional company and management I've ever encountered. As long as you can avoid Tim as much as possible you might be ok, but he runs the show no matter what. Extremely high turnover. Good luck. I was let go with no reason given, and 3 days of pay. I did not sign their non compete or non disclosure, and they didn't provide an exit interview. 1 week later they accuse me having recorded conversations of Tim. They told unemployment they let me go due to COVID yet they keep hiring C suites and Directors so that doesn't add up. My guess is someone hasn't been paying unemployment taxes. I was interviewed and offered job on the spot by Tim. I said I needed to think about it. Then during pay negotiation, about a week later Tim let my recruiter know they went with someone else. About 3 weeks later I got a call saying Tim wanted me back because the other guy didn't work out. I had an accident about 3 weeks prior to starting, where I had a mild concussion. Headaches, body aches and tired all day. Because of that I was going to doctor 3x a week and missed 3 to 4 hours. After my first week Tim calls my recruiter to ask if I was "doing okay" because I was "missing a lot of work". I wish I had just quite then. That was the tip of the micromanagement iceberg. 3 wks in, Tim fires 1 of my employees saying he he's a lazy millennial. No one could login to their WordPress website for 6 wks prior to me joining, there were endless problems with site going down, no best practices or protocol in place. Then at some point 3 months in, a no-index directive inadvertently added to site so the traffic tanked. Then I was taking conflicting direction on website marketing from the new board member and Tim, while being asked "why did I even hire you?" when. No documentation from previous mktg staff, people frequently wiped their hard drives they were so angry. I was 4th manager in 2 yrs. There were less than 40 people working in Irving when I was fired. During my 6 months there 1 of my employees was fired after about a year, then another quit after about 2 years, my new boss of 2 months was fired 3 days after me, 1 person in sales was fired after about 4 months, 1 person in IT was fired after less than a year, and 2 people in software dept were fired after about a year. My employees and many colleagues warned me about all the turnover. When Tim fires people he says they can't work in a fast paced environment or that they blamed other people for not doing their own job. Tim gossips, speaks VERY loudly and sometimes yells so loud you can hear him from the other side of building and through an office wall. He checks the garage monitors of to see when people enter and leave to make sure 1 hour is used for lunch and that 8 full hours are put in. He yells at vendors and tells them they didn't know what they were doing, wasting his time and money, and rudely asks peoples credentials to see if they were good enough to advise him.

Pros

Overall, it's been a great experience and opportunity with a strong emphasis on equality and fairness. I appreciate the open-door policy with management which makes it easy to voice concerns or seek guidance.

Cons

I think the company should hire more employees.

Pros

The people besides the CEO are pretty nice. And I hear that if you work in other departments it's better. The ice machine is good.

Cons

The CEO is a nut case. The rumor is that he's trying to sell the company for ages but can't find a buyer. It's fine if you work in dev but if you are thinking of joining sales I would run in the opposite direction. No raises, no commission.
