Pros

Good pay (outside of the plant floor) Great people Optimistic young talent You can get that cool job title you always wanted

Cons

Here are some of the prominent, recurring issues I've noticed here in my 6+ yrs. 1 - Subpar middle management Mgt. gets punished for telling the truth vs. reporting what top-level execs wants to hear. This has created a culture where tough decisions are now pushed down the chain and managers want to avoid as much ownership ("liability") as possible. Mid-management is in constant churn and every new manager feels the need to change everything again to put their stamp on things. It can feel like Groundhog's Day if you stay long enough. 2 - No trust ONE team is said often but not followed by actions. There is no trust between internal teams. Outside parties are trusted more than internal partners. This is why consultants are always roaming the halls. 3 - Lack of thoughtful, deep work Working harder not smarter runs rampant. Every day can be a fire drill that starts from the top. Roles that should require deep work are reduced to transactional activities. 4 - Obsessed with Wall Street (e.g. short term gains) ALL ROI decisions are revenue-based. There is no long-term investment to improve core competencies, reduce tech debt, etc. Even internal training requests can require a ROI proposal. 5 - wonky culture The culture here is not fully-baked. The high turnover makes it hard for it to be defined. What HR puts out vs what we see top-level do are sometimes very different. It's a place where there's lots of ping pong tables in the common areas but no one has time to play (and if they did they'd be afraid to be seen playing by their other over-worked coworkers).

Engaged teams, innovative company, exciting growth opportunities, collaborative culture.

Cons

Large companies can bring more processes - however this isn't always bad and holds accountability.
