Pros

Locations for placement vary, but if you work in the corporate office the majority of you will be in Philadelphia or Burbank (additional office locations are available). Salaries are location and role-based, so working in certain east/west coast locations will pay more due to cost of living. The relocation assistance is very small. You have to find your own housing. Attending the conference in Philadelphia.

Cons

No training. Let me reiterate, there is no training. The program is designed for the associate district manager and account executive jobs since turnover is high. This program is not for corporate office management roles. The other management roles will be at a facility like a stadium, hospital, resort, etc. Look at the careers section. They really need to change the title of the program, its misleading. You are more likely to receive permanent placement as an associate district manager or account executive. Only the elite (very few) will get a district manager role. If you do well during the course of the year, you can have the opportunity to receive a full-time offer faster than normal(still have to meet the A2L requirements). Beware, it could be a sucker role( if required to move), so learn about the new facility's dilemmas before accepting the opportunity. Once you learn the MCs, you will hear which one's to avoid. Human Resources does a poor job in following the A2L program, once you complete onboarding, you will be left on your own. There are no assigned mentors to receive guidance. Aramark is a stressful, chaotic environment since managers are only concerned with acquiring and keeping accounts rather than providing quality service. The biggest problem of Aramark/AUS is their technology. Its extremely old(from the 80s), and they have been trying for decades to replace it with little success. If you like working in service positions and dealing with customers, then Aramark is for you. If you enjoy stress, confusion, long work hours, increasing demands, frequent layoffs and employee turnover, then Aramark is not for you.

Pros

Travel opportunities. Former corporate management was extremely supportive and good to work with. Free food. Free drama.

Cons

Work life balance. Don’t be a mother to young children if you want to work here. Verbal communication vs. what you get in an email will be contradictory….the gaslighting was unbelievable. Digital metric systems put in place by new corporate management has taken all the creativity and actual management out of the job. Will be mad at you if you don’t make the numbers they want to see, but will provide zero guidance on how best to do so. Hours were extremely long in order to complete all job responsibilities. New upper management is inflexible to specific account needs. Each account is different. HR does not help you - they protect the company. If you need to terminate an employee - they make it impossible.
