Pros

Aramark has always been very good at developing employees for advancement. If a person is a hard worker and dedicated they can go far in the company. There are many examples on my team of people who started with the company at low level positions and rose to management and senior management. there is an excellent team environment and the company does seem to genuinely care about everyone who works for them. I have learned way more about business, management, and hospitality working for Aramark than I ever could have in a classroom. The fact that I have been with them for 21 years and many of the people on my team have been there longer than I should speak for itself of what a good environment it is to work in.

Cons

every job has some good days and some bad days. in the past 21 years there have defiantly been more good than bad. While I understand the reasoning for some of the cumbersome programs we have I feel that the company does a disservice to itself by over auditing these programs It can also be a source of frustration when we are too quick to roll out new programs before they are tested and functioning properly, this can become a time vortex.

Pros

Travel opportunities. Former corporate management was extremely supportive and good to work with. Free food. Free drama.

Cons

Work life balance. Don’t be a mother to young children if you want to work here. Verbal communication vs. what you get in an email will be contradictory….the gaslighting was unbelievable. Digital metric systems put in place by new corporate management has taken all the creativity and actual management out of the job. Will be mad at you if you don’t make the numbers they want to see, but will provide zero guidance on how best to do so. Hours were extremely long in order to complete all job responsibilities. New upper management is inflexible to specific account needs. Each account is different. HR does not help you - they protect the company. If you need to terminate an employee - they make it impossible.
