Pros
- Mission driven. Feels good working on problems that directly influence the amount of renewable energy that enters the grid. - People are kind and helpful. - Learning and personal development are encouraged - The office really nice, though I imagine we may outgrow it in the near future
Cons
- Leadership are hesitant to move toward or accept that working from home should be normalized, which seems a little out of touch with how people and modern tech companies view work life in a post pandemic world. - Not much PTO in comparison to industry standard. It's easy to get overworked, and when you're only accruing a few hours of PTO every paycheck, it often feels discouraging to request time off, which leads to employee burnout. - No 401k matching. Hopefully this will change, but without matching, 401ks are just slow growth, low risk investments that aren't really helping the employee plan for retirement (personal opinion).
