      In my experience the underwriting divisions are lean, meritocratic, and do a good job focusing on personal development.

      Cons

      Only complaint has been the IT has been somewhat unreliable and the Arch help desk is mediocre

      Pros

      Work from home, 401k match up to 6% (plus they contribute a separate amount each year), HSA employer contributions

      Cons

      Work heavily depends on your manager and team. I have had many managers since I started and the culture has shifted from a small, specialty company, to more of a large corporate structure. It used to be very flat and you felt connected to upper management, now it feels more like a firm hierarchy that you have little understanding with.
