Pros

Relaxed dress code. Fair pay. Average benefits. Big focus on employee safety.

Cons

leadership team believes the only way to demonstrate leadership is through aggression and bullying, belittling people. No appreciation for differing points of view. Lifers haven’t been exposed to true leadership outside the organization and remain clueless as to how to exhibit respect and adult behavior. They have no idea how to practice what they preach, making talent retention a real issue. Modeling leadership styles from the 80s, mostly trying to impress CEO and other senior leaders that have no need for people and their opinions. They promote feedback, innovation, truth and being direct - up until you actually provide direct feedback - then you’re marked. Very thin skins at the leadership level - surprising. Recent organizational changes have hurt some pretty big egos by reducing the scope of what they perceived as ‘power’ - lots of trash talking, aggression and backstabbing going on for an organization that promotes honesty and directness. The power plays are sad, silly and inhibiting innovation & productivity due to new siloed structure and fear of speaking up. Reality check needed if they want to grow and prosper.

Pros

High-growth environment, pay is above market, freedom to work the way you like (create your own processes), leadership is hands-on and really understands the business, great culture, perks in the office like free lunch and snacks

Cons

Remote work is discouraged if you live near HQ (want people in the office 3 days/week)

Pros

Pay was solid. Staff at the plant level were generally kind, helpful, and capable.

Cons

Directors and Corporate - They're a plague on the company. They can't keep a Plant Manager, Plant Engineer, Process Engineer, Operations Manager, or even a Production Supervisor because of how poorly they treat everyone. The bus is for everyone; they won't be happy until they've thrown everybody under it. Expect calls off-hours every other day. Expect shifting priorities. Be a mind-reader. The rat race to the bottom consumes all here. I have never been more professionally disrespected in my life than when I worked at Arclin. It's messy, it's toxic, and it's not worth your time.
