Whether your cleaning kennels or feeding new born kittens; promoting adoptions of senior animals or training away bad behavior and fearfulness, there will be a fitting opportunity for you with the Arizona Humane Society.
Cons
Passion fatigue they call it. Depending on your eventual position, you'll see things as an animal lover that will make you angry, hurt and possibly cry. You may see as much sadness as you do happiness. The Sunny Slope facility does have a trauma center that works tirelessly to benefit the lives of the sick and injured. This and another location within the facility are places where you'll hear difficult stories and see their results. With that being said, you begin to understand that, you are so happy to know they are here rather than where they came from while also knowing there is a better future from there on out.
