Pros
You are encouraged to explore and change departments as you wish. There are many opportunities to grow your experience and knowledge. The animals and coworkers are amazing to work with and make your day so worth it. You get health insurance, vision insurance, discounted pet insurance and can accrue PTO.
Cons
You are treated like a disposable robot by management. Punctuality is more important to them than treatment of animals or quality of work. Your raises (if any) are a mere few cents after a fiscal year, which are nullified when company-wide pay gets raised for inflation. Employees who have been there for 10+ years get paid the same as someone there for less than a year. I have never worked harder at a job yet treated so poorly and condescendingly by the management team. They are great at putting on a fake face and preaching about mental and physical health though. Just prepare to be treated like an insignificant gear in a huge corporation where those who put in the least effort are rewarded the most.
