Pros
Depending on how busy of the territory, plenty of free time to study new products/techniques when starting out. Very rewarding intrinsically helping surgeons treat their patients. Fun/Interesting job
Cons
Base pay is awful. Tons of busy work for newer employees on the teams. Have worked up to 14-16 hour days in busy season, your day isn't done until your accounts are ready for surgery the next day. Luck of the draw as to if you get put with a good team. Mostly hired from word of mouth/family and friends etc. Benefits are terrible with the distributorship I'm with.
