The work itself often has variety and interest that rounds out your experience early on and keeps you interested in the work you do. Arup has a relatively "flat" leadership structure which means you are able to connect and communicate with all levels of leadership and there is a similar level of transparency between all grade levels.
Cons
With a very European-style company structure, there are some instances where it is difficult to advocate for yourself as an individual sitting within the company hierarchy. Progress between grades becomes a focus for many employees as it is exclusively tied to pay and bonuses and this sometimes leads individuals to overlook the responsibilities tied to each level, having a negative impact on professional development.
