Pros

Great corporate culture and work life balance Good benefits and salary

Cons

Disfunction at Ascend level of company. I worked at ExamFX business unit and loved the management at the business unit level, but holding company (Ascend) kept plugging in Ivy league managers from other business units. We had 4 different CEOs thrust upon us during my three year tenure. Each new CEO would engage in a 60 to 90 day top down analysis of the company and institute changes to rectify their perceptions of weakness in our business unit. Within the next 60 to 90 days this CEO would be replaced by another and the process would start over.

Pros

Decent benefits Hybrid WFH schedule Some really great direct managers

Cons

Chaotic and disorganized, with old outdated backend systems. Work performance and output not generally recognized: people who do very little work are often paid the same, or more than people who do double or triple the workload, and are allowed to continue with the company while other shoulder the load. Once you are on a team or part of a BU - good luck making a move to another team or BU. The place is a revolving door for a lot of positions, but once you learn a skillset they are unlikely to allow a move. The sales team runs this place, so be prepared to be bullied constantly by them, even when you are told to gatekeep.
