Collaborative culture, young office, some program overlap - Program Coordinator Aspen Institute Employee Review

Pros

The workforce leans young, employees in their 20's and 30's, while executive leadership is much older. This offers a lot of opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and a fast paced environment with appreciation for work/life balance. There are tons of cool speakers and interesting events throughout the year, so a good launchpad for young professionals passionate about different social issues.

Cons

There's little definition between programs of similar missions or aims, means there's a lot of competing for the same resources/speakers/event turnout. There can be a distance between leadership and the young workforce, and some misalignment on company values around diversity.

Pros

Great place to grow and good space to network

Cons

Pay gap and title gap. Lots of interns/associates no middle management and then deputy directors. Very corporate and lots of systems
