Pros

Decent pay for nonprofit work, smart and interesting colleagues, a fair amount of flexibility (although full-time remote work would make this a five-star review), largely accessible leadership, worthwhile mission.

Cons

A bit slow or hesitant to embrace new work practices (remote work, four-day work week, etc) that similar organizations have already implemented. Geographical diversity would serve the Institute much better than only prioritizing people who can afford to live in DC, NY, or Aspen, especially as it attempts to distance itself from its "elite, ivory tower" reputation. There's still a bizarre regard for leaders and programs that are overly intellectual and esoteric. Let go of the white saviorism, catch up with the rest of the world, and talk like real people TO real people.

Pros

Great place to grow and good space to network

Cons

Pay gap and title gap. Lots of interns/associates no middle management and then deputy directors. Very corporate and lots of systems
