Pros

Insurance coverage is great and the premiums are affordable. I have a good schedule but some of my co-workers do not.

Cons

1. The company is top-heavy with management who are grossly overpaid. 2. The most recent self-appraisals contain goals which are not attainable due to the nature of the goal or the fact that short staffing does not allow the employee time to work on the goal. Most likely these goals were chosen by the hospital is so that employees do not achieve a score high enough on their annual appraisal to earn a raise thus keeping costs down. 3. Money is spent on recruitment bonuses but not retention bonuses. Face facts, most new employees will be gone when their bonus is fully paid because they will see the poor working conditions and get out. Reward the people who are stuck working here. 4. Toxic work environment due to supervisors, managers, and directors who are bullies. Upper management allows and probably encourages this. 5. In my department we have certain licenses and certifications which are mandatory to keep our job. Aspirus does not reimburse for these mandatory requirements even though we submit for reimbursement. 6. Unsafe working conditions due to low staffing and more resignations than hires. This eventually will affect patient safety. 7. Continually purchase more hospitals and health care systems but nobody to staff due to poor pay, no retention bonuses, micromanaging, toxic work environment, and low morale. 8. "Reward" the staff with a pizza party or some free t-shirts. No holiday bonuses around Christmas even though upper management probably receives one. Constantly tell us we're valuable but no real action to back up the words. 9. Upper management has no clue what's happening at the patient care level due to poor communication and probably a genuine lack of interest. 10. Invests all profits in expanding but not in retaining staff and in providing decent wages.

Cons

Organization has growing pains. Processes are inconsistent, broken, or outdated and internal communication is not streamlined.

Pros

Traveling Therapists are paid well, full time are not.

Cons

Traveling therapists have a heavier schedule, different patients from day to day, sit in a separate office and in general, are treated with less respect than non-travelers.
