Pros
Proprietary software, great coworkers, support for industry education, vacation time increases with tenure, CAI classes can be taken by web conference.
Cons
Terrible commission based model that resulted in managers having 15-20+ communities in their portfolio. Have heard this has changed, however it will be a matter of time before the pay model is scaled back (again). The accounting conversion was poorly executed, resulting in a nightmare workload for the local teams. Local leadership, including the leadership in Austin, all of whom are still with the company, created an environment of manipulation, retaliation, and cliques. Had to be "loyal" to be inner circle, and if you weren't inner circle they made your work life difficult. I worked with strong professionals that would be reduced to tears when leadership gave a humiliating "redirection" or shaming in front of the entire team. The private redirections were worse. You could always count on calls and/or texts when you were out sick or on vacation for things that could have easily waited or been handled by the team.
