Pros
Undemanding culture. Good flexible work hours. Good people in general. OK compensation. Nice people.
Cons
The company is getting killed by a culture of complacency that trickles down from the top. Those at the top are making (or have made) too much money to honestly seem to care about the company's future. They don't walk the talk and don't have the experience and skills needed to take the company to the next level. They say one thing and do another. COO speaks about work life balance and the importance of family but really is becoming extremely self centered. This person has become arrogant, dismissive and always believing he is right to the point where people are afraid to stand up to him. He is now running the show since the CEO became a lame duck taking over strategic initiatives. Company is not a meritocracy. Upper management in general is fairly incompetent by today's fortune 500 standards. It promotes and fires people based on individual and biased preferences, particularly those of the COO. Hope is that the new corporate CEO will do something about this or be ready to face dire consequences.
