Pros
From my own experiences, Astellas has fostered a great learning and development environment for myself and colleagues around me. I have a lot of autonomy in my work, and my division supports all of my development endeavors and other wishes. I've had numerous opportunities to obtain globally recognized certifications with the support of Astellas. Company now offers a very flexible work environment. (Note, that I can only speak as an office-based employee. I have no insight to work-life day to day of onsite employees). If you can remain remote, stay remote unless otherwise needed. In regards to benefits, lots of paid time off including days to volunteer, holiday shut down, floating vacation day. High 401K contributions compared to former places I've worked at. Performance bonuses (annual and long term) are granted as well for a percentage of your pay grade.
Cons
My colleagues and I often feel siloed in our work. For complex, larger companies, I imagine this is common. Advancement opportunities in my division as a salaried employee can be limited. These opportunities usually arise when folks retire or if there is a reorganization of functions. I also think that the high number of managers and director roles play a factor.
