Pros

The company goes to a lot of effort to be sure that the salary's are competitive.

Cons

The pipeline hasn't delivered and in-licensing has failed to fill the gap. None of that is a secret. It is the reason that the company is trading at $40-45 a share and not $60 a share. As a result, AstraZeneca is contracting. It used to be a very good place to work, but now there are literally 1000s of people laid off every year. In spite of the layoffs there are actually job openings because individuals who weren't laid off are job hunting and leaving AstraZeneca. Work life balance is suffering as additional work is piled on the few that remain. Even worse the internal culture is poisoned by the constant blame game between groups and individuals trying to blame each other for the company's failure in the process of trying to avoid being one of the individuals laid off themselves. Senior leaders are throwing their reports to the wolves to preserve themselves. The management can't figure out how to save the company and keeps changing their minds and thus has become inconsistent and unpredictable. It's all such a shame because just a short time ago it was a great company that I would have strongly recommended as a wonderful place to work.

Pros

The page is friendly to make an application.

Cons

As an experienced healthcare analytics and commercial leader, I applied to 104 U.S.-based positions at AstraZeneca between 2025 and 2026 that closely matched my background. Despite receiving interviews from peer organizations, I did not receive a single recruiter interaction. I fully understand the competitiveness of hiring, but such a complete lack of engagement raises questions about potential overreliance on AI screening or unintended bias.
