Pros
Good pay and benefits. Great work challenges. Some teams actually function as teams to reward accomplishments but not true for all. Brown nosing pays off for certain. Great opportunity for fresh upstart careers. They considerably favor these employees.
Cons
Frequent unannounced layoffs and replacement, about 10% annually. Not just poor performers. I survived 7 "Reorgs" in five years. Very-very few retire from Asurion. Separation packages immensely favor directors & above. Not a place for experienced team members. You're better off rubbing elbows than using elbow grease. Getting your job done well to keep the business running isn't necessarily the best approach. Get out from behind the scenes and stay noticed or you'll be deselected. You'll know within two years if you're favored. VPs, directors were quite surprised when I informed them I was let go because I got things done behind the scenes via working relationships. Not all teams are rewarded or treated equally. Stay away from the "Retail" business if you're not in Sterling. Mobility is where it's at.
