Pros

•Competitive pay starting at $16/hr for mobility representatives, $17/hr for whole home representatives. •Monthly incentive bonuses if metrics are exceeded, annual raise reviews (when your leaders remember to actually schedule time for your reviews). •Occasional themed days and snacks for employees.

Cons

•Shift bids every 6 months based on metrics (no seniority), leadership only focused on metrics and “delivering premier service” when they themselves are inexperienced and very few actually tech savvy. •Operations Managers rotate frequently, changing clients and departments. •In the course of two years, you could be working on up to 10 different teams/leaders/schedules. •NO SICK DAYS - any unexcused time counts against your metrics and eliminates/lowers your chance of a bonus or good schedule ranking. •Miscommunication between “supervisors” and policies, forcing department changes and unexpected audits (that they are unprepared for) from external clients and unnecessary stress to employees. •Good company to start at when working at a new site, but quickly fell a part with high turnover. •Incentive based bonus structure readjusted or changed to hurt employees and favor company randomly, as it is constantly being re-evaluated. •Almost every manager or leader is guilty of poor grammar and spelling in written communications, but expect perfection when speaking with customers/clients. •Very high call volume and at times, mandatory overtime or “leadership” pressuring employees to sign up for additional hours outside of their regular working hours. •When working in a role that is fluent for both voice and chats, priority appears to be given to those technicians to chat with poor surveys, or individual favorites within the department (no fair rotation to maintain proficiency). •Troubleshooting is not trained, nor education on specific devices, but the roles are expected to know “how to look for information”. Many times, online simulators are inefficient, knowledge articles are not updated, or search results can be blocked (depending on client) for certain hardware and software scopes. •Metrics are unrealistic when troubleshooting over the phone with customers of different technological backgrounds and wide scopes of equipment/devices.

Having time to recharge outside of work matters, so it’s great to hear the schedule worked well for you. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.

Pros

The job does pay well and does give you commission and mileage back. It’s 22.05 an hour and .77 cents per mile ( you will drive a lot and your mileage check will probably be the same as your weekly check )

Cons

The job is hyper focused on pushing people to sell VHDP or HTP (VHDP Verizon Home Device Protection ), ( Home Tech Protection ). The job doesn’t really care for the financial situation of a client and will say “ well you could have told them even though they are on a fixed income, they can still get the plan and talk to their ISP about financial hardship “ the staffing is sometimes very scarce and is also very lack of consideration for driving far off with no help if you get stuck. If you happen to have a vehicle issue ( which you will ) you have 7 days to get it back up in running before you get either written up or let go. I did enjoy working for this company, but it was mentally taxing and always was about getting every dollar out the customer even though they already paid for the visit for you to come out, and the phone replacement which they have to pay for monthly. Once you have worked for the company for atleast 90 days you will get a tablet and they will make you start doing Verizon consultation about the customers WiFi and try to sell them these 90 dollar WiFi just so they can make the most money possible. It’s all just give me money even though you already gave me money
