i have worked at SLS LUX building. it is a family affair. meaning they hire people who do nothing but who need a job, a friend of a friend. you have a manager on property who never answers phones or emails. you have 3 of them, actually, so the front desk is slammed with complains about management, however, if you say anything, you are fired. you have people coming and yelling at you, and guess what? abuse is not tolerated in writing, in reality it is. you have unprofessional HR who can't say, this is the complaint we have about you, how do you respond? you just get fired because someone said something about you. in the past 6 months, i saw hard working people fired without a notice, new ones hired next day. seems the magic word is to say you have kids at home, then you are hired. you won't last, and if no one complains about you, then the invisible management will make sure to help you look for another job.
