Pros

A few incredibly skilled and helpful senior colleagues. Decent industry-standard practices. Free access to an accredited mental health course and an experienced therapist from the very onset of the first COVID lockdown. Very proactive! Superb IT support and staff. I have never had any trouble asking them to purchase brand new IT equipment for me. Empathetic HR staff. Friendly, pleasant CEO.

Cons

A few relatively skilled senior colleagues who stubbornly defend their specific ways of working at the cost of actual productivity. This is a classic example where the perfect is the enemy of the good. Core technologies are many generations behind. Staff initially coaxed and later ordered to return to office on a semi-regular basis. This is not competitive in 2022 where many, if not most tech companies offer full and complete remote working. Holiday entitlement is not competitive with other tech companies. The pleasant attitude of the CEO does NOT trickle down to senior management staff, where overbearing micromanagement and plain rudeness is commonplace.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that the hybrid working policy did not work for you post Covid. We have improved our holidays and other benefits this year. In addition ongoing training and development are provided to all of our managers.

The work is pretty easy & straightforward, coworkers make it enjoyable. The company has events for employees, plus being able to work from home is a definite perk!

Cons

Unless your really into leak detection or pipelines I do not recommend staying long for the followingreasons. Promotions are capped. Pay is low without bonuses. The company is very unprofessional which leads to disorganization, it permeates the workplace culture, fostering a toxic environment reminiscent of a high school clique. Senior staff and management assert dominance by belittling and ostracizing lower-ranking employees. They make attack your race, appearances, or lack of knowledge/experience. This behavior not only impedes effective management but also perpetuates a cycle of drama that makes the office environment unbearable.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear you have had bad experiences with our management. However we do pay quarterly bonus and year end bonus, and our most recent anonymous survey indicates that our pay in the US is competitive.
