A once good company now in decline. - Resource Manager Atrium Employee Review

Pros

A flexible working environment, autonomy given by management.

Cons

Revenue is a fraction of what it was several years ago at the company’s height (see Companies House’s records vs the claimed $100 million). This led to many rounds of redundancies, with others leaving the business voluntarily seemingly due to a lack of opportunities or poor morale, leaving the full-time employee workforce roughly half the size it once was. Following the decline in business the company seemed to struggle to attract the right talent. Ultimately the decline in business was arguably due to consistent poor decision making by the Senior Leadership Team who were essentially the owner’s family. In particular the candidate delivery function in the UK was chaotic. The CEO was a good and ethically sound person but seemed to be consistently advised poorly by those around her. Whilst the company accredits itself as a diverse employer and woman owned business, at the point I left the company virtually all of the back office staff working under the CFO were women as well as the majority of front office staff. Whilst I support diversity in the workplace, this arguably shows a discriminatory hiring and retention policy and management seemed ignorant to any perception of inequality.

Found out that my assignment had a requirement to be on my feet for long stretches *after* I started.
