Poor leadership, barking, intimidation tactics, gas lighting. Deflection of accountability from leadership, blaming residents for their own short comings. What used to be a revered program, is now a sad example of how a program is circling the drain, with no real UROGYN experience, and taking away surgical experience from senior residents, yet leadership then complain when residents are not up to 'surgical par'. Said attendings also do not want to take any time out of their own schedule to actually teach or give extra time to anyone who is falling behind. This task is some how placed on the senior residents, even though their plans and guidance are often shot down. Many times residents are left to make decisions on their own because attendings will not answer their pager or phone, but then will be retaliated against or yelled at because the decision wasn't discussed with the attending.
