Pros

The team and my direct managers are awesome to work with. This is a very family-friendly work environment. They understand most people leave the dealership to work in this field due to not having work-life balance. You have it here. They encourage you to spend time with family. There's no pressure to be at work if you have something going on with your family. Of course this is a pay cut from dealership life but I couldn't put a price on family time. There's great collaboration between different teams. Nice work perks and if it wasn't for COVID, have plenty of get togethers. This is a family here.

Cons

The jury is still out on DealerSocket since acquisition. They are already implementing process changes, which is expected, but I remain skeptical. Clients consistency say their products and customer service is terrible and hope they don't change us since we are known for great product and service. 401k plan is not attractive.

Pros

Met some absolutely lovely people, was excited to work for previous management when hired

Cons

Recently, Auto/Mate was acquired by a much, much larger company called DealerSocket. While they've done everything they can to say nothing will change, unfortunately I don't believe you spend the (rumored) kind of money DS did to not make changes. This was a once fun, family-like company that will soon be wrung of all it's charms in place of a much more sterile, corporate approach. After reading most of the reviews, I can vouch for a few things. There are a lot of people at this company who have been doing what they do for a very long time. I think there is going to be reckoning of old school seniority meeting new school "what have you done for me lately" approach that values productivity over all other metrics. The Auto/Mate of the last 30 years or so is no longer what you will be applying to or seeing reviews of. Going forward, I don't know how many of these testimonials really apply. It has become a different company, and one I wish I was made aware of prior to joining the company.
