Pros
I enjoy working for Autzone. Although there is a "hierarchy" of sorts, those in the higher management roles don't hide behind phones all the time. I have seen my store manager's boss quite a few times in our store and have actually seen the regional managers once. Autozone also has a points system. It's different from many companies in that it's similar to a "second chance" net. You don't want to accrue points, however, everyone makes mistakes, so you're allowed a certain amount before you get talked to. This is something I appreciate because some of my previous jobs said that they'd work with me, only to leave me high and dry after just one misstep.
Cons
While I don't see life as revolving around money, but rather by who people are on the inside, Autozone does not pay very well. Also, unless you are a gray shirt, aka manager, it is hard (but thankfully not impossible if you ask) to get 40 hours a week even as a full time employee.
