Pros

I am very happy with the company. Recently, the company is ranked 6 in best companies to work for 2015. Here are some pros: - International company with HQ in US and many other offices in India, China, etc. Practice Agile. - Good management. The manager's target is make Autodesk better place to work and employee happy. - Good facility: You can made any request through an e-service system for facility. Every quarter, you boss will ask what peripheral you need for your working. The company provides accesses to many e-learning resources such as Linda, Safari. I love Safari where I can see many many books. - Many actives and benefits: Many awards every month, every quarter to recognize your effort. Birthday party every month. Sport club such as badminton. Provide dinner if you need to work OT on every Wednesday (actually, the company does not encourage you work OT. We are following Agile). Team outing activities every quarter. Too many for me to list. - Friendly environment: Everyone is very friendly and approachable. - Very good insurance and flex point program to claim. I must say this after comparing with my wife's insurance package.

Pros

The individual contributors, your peers you work with day in and day out are fantastic people! At the IC level, for the most part, it feels like everyone is in the fight together. The work/life balance is good depending on which business unit/team you're aligned with. The benefits are pretty solid, especially the 6 week sabbatical.

Cons

Autodesk moves at the pace of a snail, very slow to take action on anything. Selling is very difficult with all the undocumented approvals, processes, red tape and very few people are willing to actually help! Leadership doesn't care about the people their decisions impact. Feedback is rarely listened to and acted upon. Pay is terrible compared to competitors in this space. Autodesk has embraced a ton of change over the last few years with new marketing, sales and IT leadership and it shows. They are not shy in showing their desire to be the next Oracle at the expense of their people. They are constantly changing tools, processes, people, roles, you name it so you feel like you're under water constantly. Lipstick on a pig.
