Pros

Pay and vacation time. Great coworkers.

Cons

Terrible leadership overall with constant change. The top makes so many mistakes. They do not treat the floor well and definitely do not take care of their employees.

Pros

WAS off every other weekend, but not now

Cons

When I started here, the schedule was reasonable—every other weekend off and holidays off unless you chose to volunteer. Employees were treated like people and could actually plan time with their families. That is no longer the case. The environment has become inconsistent, unfair, and openly hypocritical. I’ve been written up for being on my phone while the line was running perfectly, in clear view of operations. I was also written up over a valve issue, even though I reinstalled every valve exactly as it was removed and kept them organized. In the end, that was not the issue—the ethernet module was faulty. I was also nearly given a severe write-up over a misunderstanding that could have been easily clarified with a closer review of the situation. Being blamed in these cases shows a lack of attention to facts and a willingness to assign fault without fully understanding what happened. At this point, it’s clear this is no longer about performance—it feels personal. The current management approach has created a toxic, biased, and unprofessional work environment. Morale across the entire department has dropped significantly. This is the primary reason I am leaving, and I expect more maintenance technicians will follow. Inconsistency and double standards Rules are not applied evenly. What results in discipline for one person is ignored for another. Poor communication Expectations are unclear, directions change at the last minute, and employees are held responsible for things they were never informed about. Blame-shifting Responsibility flows downward. Credit is taken when things go well, but accountability disappears when things go wrong. Micromanagement or lack of support There is constant pressure over minor issues, yet little to no support when it’s actually needed. The level of micromanagement makes it feel like an effort to push people out. Lack of accountability Mistakes are not acknowledged, and poor decisions are not owned. Favoritism Certain employees receive better treatment, lighter workloads, or protection from consequences. Declining work-life balance Schedules change without notice, time off is not respected, and there is pressure to always be available. Negative work environment High turnover, low morale, and constant frustration have become the norm. People do not stay where they feel undervalued or mistreated.
