relaxed work atmosphere, good people, great volunteering and community culture
Cons
A lot of silos. Everybody is working in their own group, sharing of objectives or projects is rare, which leads to a lot of miscommunication and duplicating work. Career advancement and promotions are not good at all. They will promote you only after the managers above you get promoted. In addition, some directors and managers have favorites and they treat them much favorably than the rest of their subordinates. Not everything is fair, there is a lot of politics and making sure you say the most convenient and not always the right thing.
