Pros
Avanade is probably a great company to work for on the consulting side. Pay was reasonable and WFH opportunities were plentiful. Usually good camaraderie with your immediate team if the manager is competent.
Cons
The UCCMS / managed services business built from acquiring Azaleos is an unmitigated disaster. Avanade turned this business into a toxic wasteland with incompetent and oblivious managers. Workers were leaving in droves (30 by the time of my departure and many more since) without a single position back-filled. The focus was on gaining very big customers that the team was not ready to handle while at the same time forcing away the smaller, long-term customers that were literally a license to print money.
