Pros

AG pays well for people with little to no experience. Also a Paid 2 week training period when you get started. This place is close to WSU and pays much better than most other similar jobs for student's who don't have a ton of options in that area. I was 20 and a student and I met a lot of great people close to my age and had a lot of fun outside of work.

Cons

This place is very clique-ey and they are really, really bad about playing favorites. People who are leads and schedulers hire their friends (or significant others) and give them all of the preferred shifts and assignments. If you are LDS or went to BYU - you will probably be promoted to a position upstairs with the management team within 6 months. The only way for anyone else to get promoted there is be friends with someone who is a decision maker. The drama in this place is exhausting. Half of the operators and managers were sleeping around with each other, and that predictably created even more drama. There was a sexually aggressive energy in the room that was just blatantly uncomfortable - and I'm saying that as someone who was a 20 year old male when I worked there, so I can't even imagine how bad it was for the women. I was a student when I was working here and had I was constantly scheduled during times when I was in class and had very explicitly stated that I was unavailable. The longer I was there, the worse the scheduling got. Once you are capable of doing multiple types of calls, you can't swap shifts with anyone who is less trained than you are, and with the rate of turnover and so many new people, it makes swapping shifts nearly impossible. The work itself is fairly easy, but is boring to a level that is hard to put into words. I was used to working 10 hour shifts fairly regularly at my previous job before AG, and working 4-5 hours at a time there seemed like an eternity. This place has far too many "managers" and it results in a lot of micromanagement and treating people like they are 12 years old. You have to ask permission to go to the bathroom, you can be written up for taking a sick day, time off is almost never approved/denied until about a day before you're set to have it, and it's just generally a little dehumanizing. Just as an example of what it is like to work here- a kid I worked with was in a pretty bad car wreck on his way to his shift, and was being taken to the hospital to get examined. He called into work and let them know what had happened and they had the guts to ask him to call a list of employees who weren't working that day and ask them if they could cover his shift for them. When he replied that he wouldn't have his phone, they asked him to ASK HIS PARENTS to call the list for him. He told them no, and they wrote him up and put him on final disciplinary warning. I wish I was exaggerating.
