Pros

Nothing good unfortunately. This place is awful.

Cons

Please understand that the only people posting positive things and giving 5 stars are upper leadership (VPs etc) at the company creating fake accounts so their image isn't destroyed. They would rather mask how horrible they treat and compensate their employees than making actual change to do something better. They mistreat their sales employees like nothing I have ever seen. They set employees against each other, they lie and try to hold back your commission, and they don't appreciate feedback or constructive criticism. They do not want to make actual change. The turnover rate is so high. So many people have left the company. The micromanage and make their employees jump through ridiculous hoops which absolutely kills productivity. Sales teams do not trust leadership at all. I've seen otherwise productive salesmen be worn down and put in uncomfortable positions because of the demands, criticism, and total lack of support. The rush their agenda without caring at all about what the employees are experiencing. They do not thoroughly check systems before they implement them into the daily workflow. It's is an absolute embarrassment and a terrible company to work for. I cannot wait until I am out of here. I personally know 3 people looking to leave. So many of my talented colleagues have left because of the terrible work culture. They need to replace everyone at the top before this company collapses.

Avantor has top-tier people you get to work with and around. The company does a great job focusing on people and their development. Over the past several years, the Company has continued to highlight its purpose and impact by enabling science and supporting our customers who do amazing things for humankind.

Cons

Since Avantor has similar value streams under different leaders, this tends to lead to redundancy or counterproductive activities.

Pros

starting pay and the ability to work independently.

Cons

There is a significant amount of workplace drama and unprofessional behavior within the team, which can make the environment feel more like a high school setting than a professional workplace. Management appears to have limited understanding of employees' day-to-day responsibilities and is often resistant to feedback or process improvement suggestions. Employees may feel discouraged from raising concerns or proposing changes. Advancement opportunities also seem limited, with promotions and career growth often perceived as being influenced by personal relationships rather than merit. Additionally, the annual performance review process can be frustrating, as employees may feel that the scoring system makes it difficult to achieve the highest ratings and corresponding compensation increases, regardless of performance. Finally, there are concerns about workload distribution, with some leadership positions appearing to have fewer responsibilities than other team members.
