Literally everything else. I was sold in the interview that I would start as a client services coordinator and in 12 -16 months "move up to a regional director position" somewhere in the company. You start as hourly (almost $17 an hour), which is great in the beginning, but when you get "promoted" they drop you to salary (35,000k per year). Most days, I work 11 to 12 hours a day. Those bonuses you promised? They never get paid out. That promotion? They lie and say how great upper management material you are, but they want to keep you in the same position your in because its too hard to find someone to fill out. The coordinators continually discuss pay (coordinators are the ones who negotiate nurses salaries) when the doors to the interview rooms are PAPER THIN. My coworkers are constantly yelling out every cuss word in the book in the presence of new hire nurses and families. Coordinators are basically uneducated kids around the age of 21-28 who have not learned how to behave in the corporate environment. There is a lot of shadiness going on in the behind the scenes. Nurses are overworked and then asked to work even more hours when shifts can't get filled. Nurses don't get promoted or get raises. AND THEY DONT GET BENEFITS. What kind of company doesn't allow the heart of their company to have nurses?' felt sick to my stomach to work for this company. In addition, EPIC does a lot of illegal moves to keep families from switching to another home health care company (that means, doing whatever means necessary to keep the family in the company). Bribes galore. All in all, this is the worst company I have EVER worked for. Because of the recent merge of PSA and EPIC to form Aveanna, they are liquidating employees and terminating left and right. Go yourself a favor, and never work here. You'll never advance in your career.
